The NICE Framework, NIST Special Publication 800-181, is a national-focused resource that categorizes and describes cybersecurity work. The NICE Framework establishes a taxonomy and common lexicon that describes cybersecurity work and workers irrespective of where or for whom the work is performed. The NICE Framework is intended to be applied in the public, private, and academic sectors.  NICE is planning an update to the NICE Framework. A public request for comments on the update was open November 19, 2019 – January 13, 2020. Comments received will be reviewed and considered in forming a new draft of the NICE Framework. Once completed, the draft revision will be provided to the public for further review and comment.
