Michigan Senate Bill 341 – The Electronic Information and Data Privacy Act

If passed, electronic communication and remote computing service providers will not be held liable for assisting law enforcement by disclosing user’s electronic and location information, pursuant to a search warrant, or without a warrant when there is an emergency involving an imminent risk of death or injury, sexual abuse or exploitation, kidnapping, or the information pertains to the commission of a felony.
