FCC preparing telecom fines for location privacy violations


U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai has indicated his office is drawing up fines for “one or more” telecommunications providers for sharing customers’ location data, Axios reports. Pai wrote a letter to federal lawmakers announcing the FCC’s intentions, noting the potential fine or fines are awaiting commission approval.
